Before i forget...
Penang trip with poly friends. Daniel, Edmund, Joel and Junwen. :)
A great 3 days spent in Penang.
I'm gonna try to remember every single detail i can possibly think of as a good memory. (:
Day 1:
Arrived at the airport and joel and edmund was there already.
and then waited for 30 mins for those 2 to come. stay the closest, yet last to arrive. LOL. bitches
joke of the day was: Joel went to gym on that very day. LOLOL. isn't that funny. hahahaha.
When those 2 came, got our tix from jetstar and then went off to eat at Texas chicken. fucking puny chickens, so lil meat yet so expensive. same price as popeyes though. after eating the time was up and we boarded the A320 3K675 jetstar flight. a very small aircraft with a very tight cockpit. Reached our destination in 1 hour's time. pretty fast.
When we arrived junwen tried calling his cousin. but to no avail. ended up having to use payphone. then we took bus 401 to Komtar, ended up at the jetty. LOL. overshot alot. dunno where we were. so took a cab. next thing we know. BANG. the car 'hit' the front honda car. his carplate was 3755 if i remembered wad the taxi driver told me. there wasn't any scratches but the honda driver demanded 50 RM as compensation. wtf right? we were delayed for awhile but that honda driver no give up. he just took out his phone and snapped pictures of the cabbie and his carplate no.
so next we arrived at our hotel- Hutton Lodge. A relatively nice place to stay in. :) oh btw, we took 2 taxis. 3 and 2. checked in the hotel. took off to our room and just chilled for awhile before we headed out for dinner at gurney drive. took 101. panicked. didn't know where to stop. ask around and we found out where. the food was nice. much much better than 85 and chomp chomp. easily 10 out of 10. :) food's bloody cheap. 10 wanton for 3 ringgit. 1 big plate of fried oyster for 12 ringgit. EVERYTHING IS SOOOOO SOOO NICE THERE. and we wanted to eat penang laksa. so wads penang laksa? we only had assam laksa. so wads assam laksa. it remains a cloudy blur until on the last dae. lol. and we had our full. headed back to the lodge and enjoyed our humble abode for the next dae.
Day 2:
woke up real early. ok not that early for 5bx but early enuff for any holiday kids @ around 9am. went for our complementary continental breakfast which only has 2 slices of toast bread 1 cup of orange juice and 1 slice of cake. hahaha continental indeed. next up! adventure for day 2! took a bus 101 to lets see. where's batu ferringi again? its the beach! but dun expect the expected. we were heading for the beach. we saw toy museum on the way. so we alighted and went to check it out, thinking we were near the beach.
yep it sure did. somehow the signs led us to the public beach. which is actually something bungah-the street name. we were lets say at least 10 to 15 clicks away from batu ferringi. so we wandered and wandered further in. and in. we went thru the beach and trespassed several PRIVATE PROPERTY. scary indeed. we feared for the worst. trespassing is a serious offence. "trespassers will be prosecuted" and so that was what it meant.
"the enemies can have guns". in this case. the rich and powerful might have some weapons to protect themselves. Hands up and ask for forgiveness. tts wad we did. and the owner opened the gate for us to leave. and then we continued our then 5 click walk. again until we arrived at hydro hotel. it was fucking far. even the bus that we took to return to komtar took about 10 mins to reach from where we alighted. well back to the main highlight of the day. at hydro hotel we asked for directions. and so we "sillifully" continued to where the person told us to go- golden sands hotel.
we alighted and guess what. we met someone. our brather JAY!! so excited. or rather afraid. LOL when we got down he just asked us to go to the beach. he bring us there. "i bring u there brather. i bring u. water sport? cheap cheap i offer u cheap." and so on. then he followed us when we said we were going to eat. i bring u there bratha. wad u wan eat? kentucky? nasi kandar? i bring u there. LOL. later the daring joel went up to him and told him we weren't going. there were tears in his eyes. but alas felt relieved and ate peacefully. the nasi goreng was splendid. nice stuff. :)
went back to komtar after that to the lodge. and then we wifi-ed out the location of the famous tow sa pheah! there are 2 addresses: him heang and ghee heang. 1 at jalan macalister and another at jalan burma. navigated our way to ghee heang instead of him heang which was the 1 we planned out initially. hahah! we just wandered and found our way. not bad huh. everyone we asked was telling us different ways to get there and how far it was and where's the landmark and things like that. but that didn't help us at all! we were walking with our gutfeel and instinct as we got used to it from our previous 5 6 click 'march'. hahahaha. we didn't see any landmarks any passersby we spoke to. after we bought our stuff from ghee heang. went back to hotel and then went to eat cendol. awesome stuff!. with the gula melaka. its imba. really. a must try. only 2 ringgit. :) as for dinner we ate hongkong food at the prangin mall. and then a movie treat for only 8 ringgit!! the takers. the cinema was big. but sux really. seats were smelly and screen was small. sound systems not there. i guess the 8.50 sgd tix we're paying is really for quality. but its still too steep. 8.50 sgd is around 18 ringgit. lol. i can watch 1 show + free popcorns and maybe more food in My.
Day 3:
suckiest day of all. went to Taman negara Penang. well the park was a fun walk. saw monkeys. and there were swings hanging from tree branches that we played on. really cool. the beaches were clean and clear. and we took a canopywalk which is really boliao. just a short walk and it cost 5 rm. but nvm it was all for experience. we didn't proceed any further as time was almost up for us to go back to the airport. tts where the worst kicked in. i had a fever at that time already. then we walked back to take a bus. it was already 1pm when we took the bus i think. i was in pain while in the bus. feeling of vomitting and possibly diarrhoea. how i wished time was forwarded so i could vomit. after an hour on the ride. finally when i alighted, found a drain and vomited 4 times. blehhh. BLEHHH. BLeEhhHhh. BLEEHHHHHH.
Wow. Kimouchiii is how i will explain my feeling. wayyyy way way better. but still there's the fever. so went backto lodge and prepared to go airport. arrived at airport nvr eat anything while the rest ate mac. lol i was too sick to drink or eat anything. got on board and came back to sg. bought a cologne for my bro as a birthdae gift. then went to see the doc at whitesands. i swore i coulda fainted anytime. my fever was at 38.5 or even higher than the time i took measurement. Arl is vell. :)
And today. i'm feeling the best of the best. my fever subsided after all the slps and care my mum has given me. i wanna thank her for being there for me. cooking mee sua and caring for me even at the early morning of 4 5am to wake me up for my medicine. thanks mum. well i couldn't really express how i feel to her. but at least i know that i don't take things for granted. :)
definitely a long post. i'll be gone for malacca tml. another 3 days. and then the dae will arrive for my enlistment on the tuesdae 9th of nov 2010.

Training Log #8: oct 25 10.30am gym
Today's training wasn't that xiong at all. but i was really too tired to do anything. so what i did :
Dumbbell inclined press:
12kg/s 3 sets of 8
14kg/s 2 sets of 10
Bench Press:
45kg of 1 * 10
45kg of 1 * 8
47.5kg of 1 * 8
50kg of 1 * 6
55kg of 1 * 5
Machine Flys:
3 sets of 10 reps
Rows:
4 sets of 22.5kg/s 8 reps
Situps:
43 in 1 min
2 sets of 20deg 15 reps
Pullups:
just 10 + 7
i think tts all. too tired to do any other exercise. but i think i will stop gymming for awhile now. my chest is quite tight and hasn't fully recovered yet. I'm gonna train my stamina by running already. not much time left. just 2 weeks, of which 1 week is holiday. so i'm really left with 8 days now.

Training Log #7: oct 22 11am gym.
ok same thing. Bench press @ 45kg start. 10 reps. then 47.5kg 8 reps. then 50kg 6reps and 50kg 4- 6 reps.
did inclined at 40kg 4 sets 8 reps.

well the main highlight of this training is SWIMMING. :D
the water's quite salty though. hahaha. but deeper pool is better. aniwae. i learned how to trap water todae. lol thanks to shuhui. hahaha. i'm still bad at swimming. scared to drown. LOL

Training Log #5: oct 19 4pm slightly hawt.
warm up as usual. did some jogging to bring up my heartrate. and then ran 2 slow rounds around my house. used the breathing technique and swallowed saliva which i alwaes didn't to see if will kena stitch anot. but all is well. :) eventful jogging todae.
after that did pyramid pull ups starting from 8. all the way to 1. and there's a maths formula that i will nvr forget. which is [ n ( n + 1 ) ] / 2. hahah. so 8 + 7 + 6 + ... + 1 = (8 * 9) / 2 = 36!
i did 36 pull ups today!
then i did 36 pumpings in 1 go. 10 standard, 10 diamond standard, 10 wide arm and 6 wide arm.

Training Log #4: oct 18 10.30am Gym
so what i did was bench press.
5 sets * 10 reps * 40kg
Deadlifts:
3 sets * 5 reps * 60kg
Rows:
4 sets * 10reps * 22.5kg/side
Machine Fly:
5 sets * 10reps * 11.
Leg presses:
2 sets * 20reps * 12.
declined sit ups:
4 sets * 15 reps * BW
not that bad. but everything dropped tremendously. nvr gym for 3 weeks then my deadlift really cmi. from 115 to 70 which is totally LOL. too weak. but my top priority is running now. so.. i'm gonna run later! its fking cooling now. i guess i'll run to the beach? hehe.

Training Log #3: oct 14 7.30pm cooling.
warm up as usual. and i did 2 rounds of running around my house. with controlled breathing. surprisingly it was easier to run and i had no problems running at my normal speed, even though my legs were tired. if only the shin wasn't slightly painful, i would haf gone on for a 3rd round. :) i hope it was my stamina that improved. hahaha.
and then i did 5 sets of pullups. L shaped pullups did a few. the back really hurts.

Training Log #2: oct 13 4pm slightly hawt.
5 mins of skipping. though not really continuously for the whole 5 mins. there were slight pauses cuz i wasn't good at skipping!! LOL. such a shame. i couldn't skip for 10 reps consecutively. HAHA. :x
ok after that, i went down to my house and ran 1 round. hmm. as usual. this running wasn't well at all. i was panting like a dog. but at least i tried my slightly max pace for maybe 5 to 8 seconds? but tt was fun. i could feel my calves stretched. anw tts wad i wanted.
then i went to do circuits of tri-supersets. but merely 5 low reps for 6 sets.
5 pullups
5 dips
5 standard + clap pushups
tts all. i feel good today!
hmm. what shall i do tml? i haven't hit the gym for 2 weeks already. but i guess i won't go unless someone's with me. (: anybody? feel free to call me. i know no 1's gonna read it aniwae. HAHA.
i'm talking to myself! :D this is a self-motivation blog. i think i shld post pics of my own body. :x but then again. later tio defamed. or what shit.

Army daze
in less than a month i will be protecting my country.with that said.
running is 1 of the most impt element in the army.
running log #1: oct 12 4pm hawt.
ran 1.5 rounds around my house. i think its only 1.6km and i couldn't take it already. LOL
fking jialat pls. my legs were tired. my heart wasn't ready. i seemed like i was gonna die. another 27 days left. i can't keep up at this rate. would it be good if i ran everydae? i dunno. but i'll try. well i'll time my endurance the next run. hope to click to at least 50 mins by end of this month.
slow or fast pace doesn't matter. (:
